Stone of Enlightenment 2021

In the work, Kai-yen Tu invites viewers to contemplate divinity, likening it to an unlit room where darkness conceals everything from sight. Yet, within this obscurity, there is a call to remain vigilant and focused, to explore the hidden details that lie within. The intangible nature of divinity, both mysterious and elusive, seems distant, yet its presence is constant, quietly lingering in the shadows.

The artist uses the steadfast image of a stone as a powerful symbol—representing the stability and eternity of divinity. The stone, strong and enduring, embodies divine permanence, while also serving as a reminder that this divine force, though profound and infinite, is accessible and omnipresent, woven into the fabric of everyday existence.
